Flights will begin May 11, 2025

WestJet has announced plans to launch three-times-weekly nonstop service between Vancouver and Austin, beginning May 11, 2025. Daniel Fajardo, vice president of network and schedule planning, said, “As we continue to strengthen our service across western Canada, we are proud to add new WestJet service between Vancouver and Austin as part of our expanded summer schedule.”

Flights will depart Vancouver at 6 p.m., arriving in Austin at 12:17 a.m. They will depart Austin at 8 a.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 10:38 a.m.

WestJet has previously announced new routes for summer 2025, including new nonstop service between Vancouver and both Boston and Tampa, as well as between Edmonton and both Chicago and Salt Lake City.

Vancouver-Boston flights will operate daily between June 9 and Oct. 13. Vancouver-Tampa flights will operate once weekly between June 14 and Oct. 25. Edmonton-Chicago flights will operate three times weekly from June 4 until Oct. 22; Edmonton-Salt Lake City flights will operate five times weekly from May 15 until Oct. 24.

In addition, WestJet will expand its recent trial service between Winnipeg and Nashville to full summer service, operating twice weekly between April 28 and Oct. 24. The carrier also is making its Winnipeg-Orlando route year-round, operating once weekly.
