WestJet and Condor Airlines To Codeshare for First Time

WestJet and Condor Airlines announced they will codeshare for the first time in their 10-year partnership. Passengers on WestJet now have direct access to Frankfurt International Airport from five Canadian airports.

Through the agreement, WestJet will sell itineraries on flights operated by Condor Airlines from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax to Germany’s busiest airport, with the ease of a single ticket and through checked baggage, earning WestJet Dollars throughout.

Additionally, Condor guests seeking to fly to Canadian destinations can take advantage of WestJet’s expansive domestic network with the same benefits. WestJet will also provide connectivity to the US for Condor guests connecting through Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax later this summer (pending regulatory approval).

Jens Boyd, commercial director at Condor, said everyone will be able to access the joint codeshare network to Frankfurt and beyond through westjet.com, and services can be added irrespective of where the ticket was booked. In parallel, he said, “we are streamlining connections at all Canadian airports by allowing our passengers to go to their connecting gate right after immigration without having to pick up their luggage first.”
