Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) once again leads the list of the busiest global airports in 2023 with 61 million seats, a list that is dominated by US airports. Of the top 10 busiest airports in the latest OAG rankings, five are in the US. In addition to Atlanta, they are Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW), Denver International, Los Angeles International (LAX), and Chicago O’Hare (ORD).
The second busiest global airport according to OAG data is Dubai International Airport, followed by Tokyo International (Haneda) Airport at #3 and London Heathrow at #4. Istanbul and Guangzhou round out the top 10 at #8 and #10 respectively.

The busiest international airport of 2023 is Dubai International Airport (DXB) with 57 million seats. London Heathrow is in second place, followed by Amsterdam Schipol, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Singapore Changi, Istanbul, Seoul Incheon, and two airports that missed the top 10 list in 2019, but join the list in 2023, Doha andMadrid Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport.
The Top 10 Busiest International Airports are calculated using international airline capacity only. The rankings are based on scheduled one way airline capacity for the year 2023.
