Spotnana, the corporate travel platform, announced it has developed a direct NDC integration with Air France and KLM to provide customers with access to the entire Air France-KLM NDC offering, including exclusive fares. Agents using Spotnana are able to provide seamless servicing for NDC fares, and support for self-service exchanges and cancellations post-ticketing will be available in the second half of 2024, according to the announcement.
Sarosh Waghmar, chief product officer at Spotnana, said the connection provides travelers with the best travel options at the most competitive prices. “This deep, direct connection provides comprehensive access to the extensive set of benefits Air France and KLM offer exclusively through NDC,” said Waghmar, “further enhancing our ability to deliver next-generation experiences to customers and partners through our Travel-as-a-Service platform.”
Key features of the integration include:
- Continuous pricing: additional and more attractive price points compared with bookings via EDIFACT.
- NDC exclusive fares: promotional fares and the lowest available leisure fares.
- Elimination of cost-recovery surcharges: fares that avoid surcharges for the recovery of distribution costs.
- Personalized shopping experience: seat maps that reflect a traveler’s loyalty status in the Flying Blue frequent flier program during seat selection.
- Hold a ticket: ticket holds for up to 24 hours before completing the purchase.
Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service platform, said the announcement, includes role-based interfaces for travelers and agents, enabling agents to provide seamless servicing of NDC bookings through Spotnana’s direct NDC integration with Air France and KLM NDC.
Angus Clarke, chief commercial officer at Air France-KLM, said Spotnana built the deepest NDC integration with Air France and KLM and is accessing the full capabilities of the carriers’ NDC API, “enabling customers to benefit from our latest advances including the ability to purchase SAF through a dynamic bundle.”
Bill Brindle, vice president of content and commercials at Spotnana, said that developing direct integrations with Air France and KLM “is integral to our vision of providing travelers with the most comprehensive global travel inventory through a modern retailing experience.”
