Unplugged in a Plugged-in World

Vacations and weekends – are you brave enough to stay disconnected?

Once again, the summer travel season is upon us, and once again, road warriors doff the business casual attire of the workaday world and don shorts and flip-flops for a few precious days – maybe even a week or two – of vacation. And, presto, business travelers are magically transformed into leisure travelers.

Or are they?

With all the connectivity available at the traveler’s fingertips, many would-be vacationers find it virtually impossible to completely ‘drop out’ for any significant chunk of time. According to a new consumer survey by Travel Leaders Group, the idea of unplugging from work and fully enjoying the time away will simply not be in the cards for a majority of Americans.
