NDC: More Q’s than A’s

IATA’s New Distribution Capabilities standard is coming. But what can travel managers expect from it?
In the world of travel industry acronyms, one of the latest to bubble to the surface is NDC, or New Distribution Capabilities. This month’s cover story,  Clear Channels (page 20), reports the IATA technical standard is intended to improve the way air travel is marketed to consumers.

However while NDC promises new opportunities all along the value chain, what it means specifically for managed travel programs is not yet clear, as we find in our Buyers’ Roundtable discussion.
