Solutions Travel, a recently launched travel management company, has named two industry veterans to executive positions. Jenn Smukler and Tom Aichele were appointed as vice president for sales development, expanding the sales organization as a result of “significant growth” in leads coming into the company, according to CEO Mark Walton.

Smukler previously was executive director of business development for American Express GBT, where she spearheaded and executed sales strategy and sales for her division. Aichele joins Solutions Travel after a career at American Airlines, where he was managing director of central division and Canada, and vice president of central division sales.

Walton said the two “embody professionalism and are excited about the market opportunities as Solutions Travel works to expand its presence selling the Spotnana suite of technology along with world-class travel management services.” Spotnana is a travel technology provider.

Solutions Travel, according to the company, is a full-service TMC providing global services 24/7/365. Clients use the Spotnana platform, which operates identically throughout the world, allowing direct connectivity to suppliers such as airlines, hotels and car rental companies, along with other services such as duty of care, carbon tracking and expense management.
