Turkish Airlines has added Banjul, the capital city of Gambia, to its flight network. Flights to Banjul will operate twice per week and will be in connection with flights to Dakar, Sengeal. Banjul, located along the Atlantic Ocean, is the carrier’s 54th destination in Africa. Kerem Sarp, senior vice president of sales said that the airline perceives the importance of Africa will increase in terms of world tourism and trade, encouraging Turkish to invest in the region. The flights will depart Istanbul Mondays and Friday. Turkish Airlines says it flies to more destinations in Africa than any other carrier. It now reaches 123 countries and 305 destinations worldwide.
