Omni has appointed Daniel Surette as vice president of sales. He will oversee the brand’s global sales team as well as its field area and regional directors of sales and marketing. Prior to joining Omni, Surette worked at Starwood for more than 15 years. He most recently served as the vice president of North America sales and field marketing where he oversaw a team of regional digital marketing experts handling sales and marketing for 400 Starwood properties. Surette previously worked with Hyatt for more than a decade, serving in sales and marketing roles.

Presidian Hotels & Resorts, a hotel development, management and consulting firm, has appointed Geoffrey Bley as chief development officer and Brian Long as corporate director of operations. Bley has 20 years' experience in real estate development, financing and construction management for hotel, commercial and mixed-use projects. Long also has over 20 years of executive management experience with some of the industry's leading management companies, including Bristol Hotels and White Lodging.

Marriott has expanded its sales and marketing team for the Middle East and Africa with the following appointments: Paul Dalgleish, vice president of sales and distribution; Sarah Allen, vice president of revenue strategy and analysis; Jitendra Jain, vice president of digital, loyalty and portfolio marketing; Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice president of premium and select brands; Sara Walker Kerr, vice president of communications; and Raheel Baggia, senior director, brand marketing, sales and consumer services. All had been with Marriott previously, except for Jain, who was with Starwood before its acquisition by Marriott.

Horizon Air has named Captain John Hornibrook vice president of flight operations and Brooke Vatheuer vice president of finance and planning. Hornibrook will oversee Horizon's 700 line pilots and its system operations center. A 26-year Alaska Airlines pilot with 16,000 hours of flight time, Hornibrook most recently served as managing director of flight operations at Virgin America, overseeing integration efforts with Alaska. Vatheuer will be responsible for Horizon's financial planning and analysis, forecasting, business strategy and execution, process management, process improvement and employee communications activities. She most recently served as managing director at Alaska Airlines, overseeing internal audit and enterprise risk management for both Alaska and Horizon.
