Performance Hospitality Management has named Richard Cotter as COO. He will oversee the operations of the company’s portfolio of managed independent and branded hotels. With more than 30 years of experience, Cotter has worked at Wynn Las Vegas and was part of the team that launched the St. Regis brand worldwide. Performance manages more than 2,000 rooms in properties throughout the Southeast.
Travel Leaders Corporate has named Sue Berman as senior vice president of service delivery, responsible for all point of sales servicing in the company’s travel fulfillment business, transactional process and support, quality control and integrity and project management. Berman spent 27 years at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, where she eventually became vice president of operations, overseeing a budget that generated over $150 million in annual revenue.
Southwest Airlines has promoted Linda Rutherford to senior vice president, chief communications officer. With the promotion, Rutherford will add the company’s Culture Service Department to her oversight, while maintaining her role in the company’s communication and outreach efforts, as well as employee engagement. She has been with the airline since 1992.
Pentahotels has named Peter Habelitz as vice president-finance, overseeing the overall financial health and strategy of the group. He joins Pentahotels from Lufthansa AirPlus, a financial provider. Prior to that, he was financial controller at VideoJet. He also spent eight years at Deloitte in Germany and in the US.
Global Hotel Alliance has named James Simmonds to the new role of global head of development. He will build and lead a team to source upscale and luxury hotel brand partners to join GHA’s portfolio of 35 hotel brands worldwide. Simmonds previously held senior development roles at Belmond, Rosewood Hotel Group and Mubadala Investment Company.
Adelman Travel has named Mike Collins as senior vice president of sales, and Debbie Westlake as senior vice president of operations. Collins comes to Adelman from American Express Global Business Travel, where he held executive level positions, most recently as vice president, multinational sales. He will focus on accelerating sales growth and strategy. Westlake served as vice president of support services for the Americas with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, responsible for strategic operational planning, workforce management, quality management and call center operations. She will focus on Adelman’s new premier customer service offering, as well as increasing efficiencies and improving call center processes.
