Chengdu, China – The 289-room Waldorf Astoria Chengdu has opened within 99 Plaza, a mixed-use development. Waldorf Astoria is a Hilton-operated brand and this is Hilton’s 200th property in the Asia-Pacific region. The hotel is a short walk from the Metro station, with access to the city from there. The hotel has six restaurants and bars; 21,500 square feet of meeting space; a 24-hour fitness center; and an indoor pool on the 48th floor.
Albuquerque – Hotel Chaco has opened in the center of Old Town Albuquerque. The 118-room property, the first newly built project from Heritage Hotels & Resorts, is adjacent to sister property Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar called Level 5, as well as the lobby level Equinox Café and Bar. Also on property are a fitness center and business center.
Mexico City – The 500-rom Barcelo Mexico Reforma has opened; it is Barcelo’s first urban hotel in Mexico and is located on the Paseo de la Reforma, a business hub. The hotel offers a buffet restaurant, a steakhouse, lobby bar, sports bar and lounge; and events facilities for up to 800 people.
Sarasota – The Westin Sarasota Hotel has opened in downtown Sarasota. The 255-room hotel features 26,500 square feet of event and meeting space; the EVOQ restaurant; a rooftop pool and bar overlooking Sarasota Bay; a spa; and a wellness concierge who can assist with yoga, Pilates, the RunWestin program and nutrition classes.
Decatur, AL – Home2 Suites by Hilton Decatur Ingalls Harbor has opened with 81 suites. The hotel is near the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The property offers all-suite accommodations with full kitchens; Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area; Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items; and a complimentary daily breakfast. There is also an outdoor saline pool, fire pit and grill area.
