London – Kimpton Fitzroy London, the first UK hotel from the boutique brand, has opened in the city’s Bloomsbury neighborhood. Set on Russell  Square in a building dating to 1898, the 334-room property has a large ballroom, several restaurants, meeting rooms and a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel offers brand standards like complimentary bikes, in-room yoga mats and a daily complimentary champagne hour.

Louisville – Tru by Hilton Louisville has opened with 98 rooms. The property features smaller, more efficiently designed rooms with mobile desks and large bathrooms. Amenities include a fitness center and complimentary breakfast. The 2,880-square-foot lobby has areas for guests to work, play games, eat and lounge; it also offers a 24/7 “Eat & Sip” market with snacks and drinks. On the technology side, the hotel has mobile check-in, digital key, free WiFi, remote printing, a social media wall and lobby tablets.

Chicago – Aloft Chicago Mag Mile has opened with 337 rooms and over 5,600 square feet of meeting space; it is the largest Aloft in North America. The hotel offers an indoor pool on the 19th floor; the signature WXYZ Bar; re:fuel by Aloft, serving grab-and-go options around the clock; and a fitness center. Room have 65-inch LED TV’s, in-room mini-refrigerators and walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads.

Manchester, UK – The Doubletree by Hilton Manchester Downtown has opened with 248 rooms in the heart of downtown. The hotel has two restaurants and a ballroom and meeting spaces, with 65,000 square feet of meeting space all told.

Springfield, Ill. – State House Inn, the second hotel in The Red Collection, Red Roof’s soft brand, has opened downtown. The 125-room property has 23 one-bedroom suites and two specialty suites. The lobby has a stone fireplace, lounge seating, high-top workspaces and WiFi connectivity. The hotel offers free breakfast, 5,500 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center.
