American Express Global Business Travel has announced plans to open a new proprietary office in Bogota, Colombia.

American Express Global Business Travel has announced plans to open a new proprietary office in Bogota, Colombia. The new location will focus providing travel management services, solutions and localized expertise throughout the region. GBT already has offices in Mexico City and Buenos Aires, and the Bogota presence marks the first proprietary office on the ground in Colombia.
“With its strong economy and new growth opportunities emerging, Colombia has been a country to watch and a top focus among our multi-national and regional customers in Latin America,” said Gerardo Tejado, GBT’s vice president and general manager for Latin America. “This new office will strengthen our position in Latin America and enable our customers to benefit from GBT’s local expertise and global reach.”
GBT will continue its long-term relationship with its current travel partner Expreso Viajes in Colombia. The new office location is expected to open in Q4 2016.
