American Airlines has launched direct service between Vaclav Havel Airport Prague and Philadelphia International Airport. The carrier said it is the first to connect the Czech Republic and Pennsylvania with a direct flight. Flights will be operated every day throughout the summer using Boeing 767-300 aircraft, providing more than 2,800 seats weekly between the two cities. Onboard, the business cabin offers 28 fully lie-flat, aisle-accessible seats arranged in a one-two-one configuration, plus personal Samsung Galaxy tablets loaded with movies, TV shows, games, music and book excerpts. Connections from Philadelphia with American include Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Chicago. Vaclav Rehor, chairman of Prague Airport, said the new flight brings the facility closer to meeting its strategy of extending its flight options to North America, a priority in its route development.
