Choice Hotels International has promoted former head of international operations David Beers to CEO of Choice Hotels EMEA. He has been with the company for 25 years. Choice said it has nearly 400 open hotels in the Europe/Middle East/Africa region.

HRS, the corporate lodging and payment technology platform, has named Christian Miller as chief revenue officer and Alexander Olsen as vice president of spend management & payment consulting. The appointments, according to an announcement, reinforce HRS’ commitment to the North American corporate travel marketplace. Miller most recently served as chief revenue officer for Motus, a workplace technology provider. He has also led global sales for Perforce Software. Olsen most recently served as director of global travel and expense product management (commercial cards) for Citi, where he led the launch of Citi’s first end-to-end integrated travel payment solution, according to the announcement. At Radius Travel, said the announcement, Olsen drove the company’s global corporate agency development program, increasing business travel volume by more than 300% in a two-year period. He also spent three years at American Express, where, according to the announcement, he was instrumental in transitioning the global client base into the new GBT organization in 2014-15.

Norse Atlantic Airways has named Tyler Pierce as head of sales for the US. The role will focus on strengthening current travel trade agreements while seeking new opportunities to work closely with the trade to ensure that Norse Atlantic is reaching and engaging a wider customer base, according to an announcement. He has previously worked at United Airlines, Navan and Frosch.
