Appointments and promotions at Corporate Traveler, Red Roof and Onriva.

FCM announced the hiring of Lindsay Straub as global head of sales. Based in New York, she will work closely with FCM’s regional sales leaders throughout the world to drive pipeline management, increase conversion and improve customer acquisition. Straub brings over 15 years of travel industry experience, most recently as vice president of sales for the BTN Group. She currently serves as the GBTA Ladders Co-Chair and was named to GBTA WINiT’s ‘Top 50 Women in Travel’ in 2022.

Corporate Traveler announced that Kimberly Sweeney has been named vice president, marketing for the US. She brings over 15 years of high-level experience working with a number of B2B and B2C companies across a variety of industries. She most recently served as senior vice president at global technology company Markaaz, where, according to the announcement, she was integral in shaping product positioning, along with driving awareness for the company as one of the leading providers of small business data solutions.

Red Roof has named hotel industry veteran Zack Gharib as president. He brings more than two decades of senior management experience in franchising, operations and brand management with companies such as Marriott, Vacasa, LaQuinta by Wyndham and Highgate Homes. He joins Red Roof, according to an announcement, as the company accelerates its growth towards 700 hotels across the US. The company also announced the promotion of Fouad Malouf to COO, a newly created position where he will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations. Having joined the company in 1982, he brings more than four decades of continuous and increasing management responsibility to the position. He most recently served as senior vice president for franchise operations.

Onriva, a startup business travel platform, has named Michael Kubasik as president. He has also worked for Corporate Travel Management (CTM), where he was global chief technology officer; and had a long career with Travel & Transport, where his last position was chief information officer.
