Loews Hotels & Co. has named Dan Flannery COO, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, improve guest experiences and drive overall business growth. With more than four decades of hospitality experience, he was most recently the CEO of Cape Resorts. Prior to that, he launched the Edition band with hotelier Ian Schrager. He has also held positions with Ritz-Carlton.
Wyndham Hoels and Reorts has named Scott Strickland as chief commercial officer, a new role. He previously served as chief infomrmaiton officer for Wyndham Hotels Group and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts after the former brand spun off from Wyndham Worldwide Corporation in 2018 and was renamed.
NYC Tourism + Conventions announced that Fred Dixon will leave his role as president and CEO in June. He has been tapped to take a new role in July as head of Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization responsible for promoting the US as a travel destination. Dixon joined the New York organization in 2005 and became CEO in 2014. NYC Tourism + Conventions has named Nancy Mammana as interim CEO. She has been with the organization since 2018 and led its 2023 rebrand.
Hilton has announced the appointment of Joseph Khairallah as area vice president and head of Japan, Korea and Micronesia. Based in Tokyo, he will oversee Hilton’s 32 operating hotels and future pipeline growth, as Hilton expands its regional footprint. An industry veteran with over 40 years of experience, Khairallah previously led Marcus Hotels & Resorts as president and COO; prior to that he had a 30-year career with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
