Emirates has promoted Matthew Jones, regional sales director for the eastern US, to vice president for all US operations. He has been with the airline since 2021. The carrier also promoted Essa Sulaiman Ahmad to senior vice president of commercial operations for West Asia and the Indian Ocean, based in Dubai. He most recently was divisional vice president for the US and Canada.

Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection announced it has hired Bob Ford to the role of chief revenue officer, North America, to lead its efforts to bring its travel protection direct to travel advisors and suppliers nationwide. Previously regional vice president of sales with AIG Travel Guard, he has more than 13 years’ experience in travel insurance distribution sales. Ford’s hiring, according to the announcement, is a step toward BHTP’s larger plans to return to the travel partner and agency distribution channels after more than seven years of developing its underwriting, claims and product development expertise with other strategic partners.
