Wings Global Travel has named Gary Povey as COO, tasked with leading the continued expansion of the travel management company. He was executive vice president at Reed & Mackay where, according to an announcement, he built the global growth team and saw the business more than double in four years. Povey’s three decades in travel include roles at American Express Global Travel, Omega World Travel, Expedia-owned Traveldoo and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Marriott International has appointed Louise Bang as chief sales and marketing officer in the Caribbean and Latin America region. Previously vice president of sales and distribution for the region, she succeeds Diana Plazas-Trowbridge in the role. Bang will lead sales, marketing, public relations, brand management and Marriott’s Bonvoy loyalty program in the Caribbean and Latin America region. She has been with the company for more than 25 years and has held positions within Marriott’s global sales organization and luxury segments.
