JetBlue Airways announced the promotion of Warren Christie to COO, effective Feb. 12; he will replace Joanna Geraghty, who has become CEO. Christie currently serves as head of safety, security, fleet operations, airports and JetBlue University. In his newly expanded role, he will lead the airline’s day-to-day operational performance, overseeing JetBlue’s airports, flight operations, inflight experience, safety, security, system operations, and technical operations functions, as well as JetBlue University’s training academy. Christie joined JetBlue in 2003 and has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility.
Hilton has named Candice D’Cruz as vice president of luxury brands for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts, across the Asia Pacific region. With over 20 years of experience, D’Cruz joins Hilton from Marriott International where she most recently served as vice president of luxury brand management and marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Serko, a corporate travel management technology company, has appointed Sean Gourley as an independent non-executive director. He has established and ground two Silicon Valley technology business – Primer, an AI and machine learning company; and Quid, an Ai-powered data visualization company.
Synergy Global Housing, a serviced accommodation provider, announced the addition of Cara Lingle as vice president, global supply chain. She will be based out of Synergy’s US region and will oversee the company’s global supply chain partnership network. Lingle has held executive positions at National Corporate Housing and Bridgestreet.
