Appointments and promotions at Emburse, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Qantas, Scandic Hotels Group and Japan Airlines.

Emburse,
 a provider of travel and expense software, has named Marne Martin as CEO. As part of this planned move, current CEO Eric Friedrichsen will transition to his new role as a member of the Emburse board of directors. Martin brings more than 25 years of technology business experience to the role. She joins Emburse from IFS, a management solution company, where she was most recently president. She has also been CEO of ServicePower and CFO of Norcon.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has named Leanne Harwood senior vice president and managing director of its luxury and lifestyle division in the Americas, effective March 1. She is currently senior vice president and managing director.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has named Christian Glauser Benz as head of development for the Americas region. He joins the company from the Hyatt Corporation, where he served as vice president of development for the Americas, focusing on the luxury and lifestyle segments. Prior to that, he was involved in the growth of Dream Hotel Group’s luxury and lifestyle brands. The appointment, according to the announcement, marks a significant step in the company’s journey toward continued expansion of its portfolio in the North American and Latin American markets.

Qantas has named Andrew Glance as CEO of the airline’s loyalty business unit. He joined the company in 2002 and is currently executive manager of commercial partnerships and Qantas Business Rewards. He has held senior roles in Qantas Loyalty since 2016.

Scandic Hotels Group has named Pär Christiansen as CFO, effective March 1. Most recently, he was CFO at Euroflorist, a company that operates in 11 European countries. Prior to that, he was CFO at Clas Ohlson for four years and has held management positions at international corporations including Gant, Transcom, MTR and SAS.

Japan Airlines has named longtime company executive Mitsuko Tottori as its first female president, effective April 1, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders and the board. She
joined the company in April 1985 and worked her way up from a cabin attendant to senior executive positions, including her current roles as senior managing executive officer and senior vice president of customer experience and chief customer officer.
