Finnair has appointed Turkka Kuusisto as CEO. He will assume the position on July 11 at the latest. Kuusisto joins Finnair from Posti Group Corporation, where he has served as the CEO since 2020. Posti is a delivery, logistics and ecommerce company. Prior to his CEO role at Posti, Kuusisto served in senior leadership positions at that company and at the Lindorff Group. Finnair’s previous CEO, Topi Manner, departed on Jan. 15 to take on the role of CEO at Elisa Corporation. Jaakko Schildt, COO of Finnair, will act as interim CEO until Kuusisto takes the position.Marriott International announced the promotion of Martin Castaño to regional vice president of sales and distribution, Caribbean and Latin America. He has over 35 years of experience and has held roles in operations, sales, marketing and revenue management. Most recently, he served as area director of sales and distribution for Central and South America at Marriott International.

Festive Road, the global travel and meetings management consultancy, has added two new team members to its business travel and meetings practices, bringing the total number to over 40 at the start of 2024. The two are:

Michelle Wheatley, based in Birmingham, England. She brings over 15 years of meeting experience to the role, much of which was producing global events for EY. She will be involved in Festive Road’s meetings and events practice.

Jon Webster, based in Sydney. A 17-year veteran of the commercial payments sector, he has worked with many high-profile organizations, according to the announcement, to deliver payment solutions, solve business challenges and ensure seamless expense management as part of the wider travel management proposition. He joins Festive Road’s travel management practice.
