St. Petersburg, Fla. — The 163-room Moxy St. Pete has opened. It features a rooftop pool deck and bar; and a “dynamic” lobby with a coffee bar, indoor and outdoor spaces, a large bar that opens up to the street, conference space and work areas. The hotel will open Sparrow this fall, offering rooftop dining and entertainment. There is a total of 1,000 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center.
New York — Aura Hotel Times Square has opened with 234 rooms after an extensive renovation of what had been the Hotel Mela. There is a restaurant and bar, and complimentary WiFi. The fitness center is being renovated and will reopen soon.
Kunming, China — The 331-room Grand Hyatt Kunming has opened. It offers a club lounge, several dining outlets, an indoor pool, a spa, a fitness center and 20,451 square feet of event space.
