Kayak Introduces ‘Upgrade’ to Travel Management Solution

Kayak, the travel search engine, introduced an “upgrade” to its travel management solution tailored to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Packed with new features like full trip management, seamless group bookings and always-on travel agent support, according to an announcement, Kayak for Business brings everything under one roof, saving significant time and effort. Unlike competing platforms, said the announcement, there is no subscription or minimum spend required. Instead, there is a flat fee of $20 per trip.

Among the features, according to the announcement, are:

  • Guest and group bookings: with group hotel blocks secured “effortlessly”
  • VIP account management: with hands-on support for setting up a business travel account
  • 24/7 travel agent support: with immediate assistance with any booking
  • Flexible trip payment method: with direct billing for rental cars
  • Travel tracking and reporting: with full visibility into ongoing and upcoming trips
  • Access to corporate rates: exclusive discounts on hotels and car rental

Eva Fouquet, senior vice president of Kayak for Business, said the corporate travel product “is designed to address the specific challenges SMBs encounter, streamlining the planning process and saving time for both employees and travel coordinators.” She said the company “hopes to make booking a business trip as easy as booking a leisure vacation.”
