GlobalStar Travel Management, a network of TMCs, announced a global partnership with Qondor, a meetings and events (M&E) platform. The agreement provides GlobalStar partners with access to an end-to-end project management platform tailored specifically for M&E professionals, travel agencies, event agencies and TMCs that are in the business of doing events.
With the Qondor solution, according to the announcement, GlobalStar partners can perform their jobs in a single, user-friendly platform supporting the entire workflow (event request, budget, proposal, contract, registration, invoicing, reconciliation and reporting), while providing full financial visibility throughout the event life cycle.
Julian Russell, executive director IT and supplier relations at GlobalStar, said that in the complex environment of M&E management, “Qondor delivers a platform that will help our TMC Partners to centrally manage and control the many disparate components that make up a typical meeting request from start to end.”
Nils Olav Rislå, COO of Qondor, said M&E is one of the more profitable and rapidly growing lines of business within travel. However, he said, many agencies do not have a solid platform in which to build and grow their M&E business.
“In our experience,” said Rislå, “we see that M&E needs are frequently deprioritized in favor of corporate travel, often leading to inefficient processes and lack of overview, particularly in the processes of budgeting, proposals, confirmations, invoicing and reconciliations. We are therefore excited to showcase to GlobalStar partners how Qondor can help them deliver high-quality M&E services with efficiency and control.”
