The Global Business Travel Association announced its newly elected board members at its Annual Business Meeting. With their terms beginning on July 24, they are:

  • Director-at-large, direct member: Carlos Almendros, global travel, meetings and card leader, Cisco; and Paulina Möller, travel leader, IKEA (Ingka Group)
  • Regional director, European, direct member: Ben Park, executive director travel and sustainability, Parexel
  • Director-at-large, allied member: Katharine Farrell, manager, sales marketing digital communications, Delta Air Lines; Kevin Sullivan, managing director, sales, Southwest Airlines; and Katie Virtue, head of sales and marketing, Festive Road.

Additionally, GBTA voters approved the bylaw amendment to expand the permanent composition of the GBTA board by two voting direct seats for Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Suzanne Neufang, CEO, said GBTA had “an extraordinary year” financially. The annual convention along with events and offerings, she said, “globally performed extremely well as we continued to grow and expand in other regions. We also held a tight rein on expenses to ensure healthy reserves.”
