FinMont, a global payment platform, announced a new partnership with French payment solution provider Payplug. The alliance will allow FinMont to incorporate the omnichannel payment solution for European merchants into its global travel payment ecosystem.
The founders of Hahn Air, a German airline, launched FinMont, according to the announcement, to offer the travel industry a unique solution that, unlike other options available, streamlines not only B2C payments but also B2B payments. Combining both payments into a single view, said the announcement, will help decisionmakers identify and fix inefficiencies in their current payment processes. The firm’s mission is to help travel merchants use payments as a strategic tool to stand out from their competitors.
Suby Valluri, CEO of FinMont, said the partnership with the European payment provider “will strengthen and expand the FinMont proposition and allow our clients to benefit from the easy-to-use solution.” As part of the company’s global strategy, he said, “we will integrate with leading banks, payment, fraud and other providers to offer a truly unique solution to the travel industry.”
Antoine Grimaud, CEO of Payplug, said the partnership will allow FinMont’s portfolio clients “to easily access exceptional performance and acceptance rates on the Cartes Bancaires network, which represents 25% of the total amount of transactions in the Euro area.”
