Atlanta will be among new gateways
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced the launch of 10 new destinations in 2025 — including four-times-weekly service from Abu Dhabi to Atlanta.
Besides Atlanta (beginning July 2), the destinations are Taipei (Sept. 7); Medan, Indonesia (Oct. 2); Phnom Penh, Cambodia (Oct. 3); Krabi (Oct. 9) and Chiang Mai (Nov. 3), Thailand; Tunis (Nov. 1); Hanoi and Hong Kong (Nov. 3); and Algiers, Algeria (Nov. 7). The airline had previously announced new 2025 service to Prague, Warsaw and Al Alamein in Egypt.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO, said launching 10 new destinations in a single day “underscores our unwavering commitment to growing our airlines with a fantastic route network and world-class, customer-focused service.” He added that 2025 marks “a pivotal year” for Etihad, with more than 90 destinations in over 50 countries, a fleet of more than 110 aircraft and over 20 million passengers.
As the carrier accelerates its growth, according to the announcement, it will expand the reach of Etihad Guest, its loyalty program — enabling members more opportunities to earn and redeem miles.
