Breeze Airways, the low-cost carrier, is adding new routes next year from Mississippi (a new state for the airline) and North Carolina. Starting Jan. 12, 2024, Breeze will launch flights from Gulfport, Mississippi, to both Las Vegas and Tampa. The carrier will then launch flights between Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, and Akron-Canton in Ohio, starting on Feb. 2.
Tom Doxey, president, said in a statement that Breeze seeks to connect cities that currently don’t have any nonstop flight options.
Breeze was launched in 2021 by former JetBlue founder David Neeleman and operates a low-cost model with three fare options: “Nice,” “Nicer” and “Nicest.” The last option includes the company’s newest product, Breeze Ascent, which comes with checked baggage, complimentary snacks and beverages, and in-seat AC power and USB and USB-C charging ports.
