American Airlines will add five routes from the US to Europe next spring and summer. It will resume flights to Edinburgh (halted in 2019) and add new routes to Athens, Madrid, Milan and Rome. The new flights include:
Charlotte, North Carolina, to Athens (daily beginning June 5)
Chicago to Madrid (daily beginning March 30)
Miami to Rome (daily beginning July 5)
Philadelphia to Edinburgh (daily beginning May 23)
Philadelphia to Milan (daily beginning May 23)
American will have more than 70 daily departures to more than 20 transatlantic destinations in summer 2025. American will also bring back flights launched in 2024, including to Copenhagen, Naples and Nice for the 2025 summer travel season.
Across the Pacific, American will offer expanded capacity on flights to Japan. Customers will have more access to Tokyo and beyond, with larger aircraft operating on all of American’s flights from Dallas-Fort Worth and Los Angeles to Japan.
