Amadeus and Delta Air Lines announced the signing of a new global distribution agreement that, according to the announcement, lays the groundwork for the introduction of NDC (New Distribution Capability) capabilities and will continue to provide Amadeus-connected travel sellers access to Delta’s full range of content.
The newly extended partnership, according to the announcement, “builds upon the companies’ shared vision of modernizing airline distribution and elevating the customer experience.” By leveraging the flexibility of the Amadeus Travel Platform, said the announcement, Delta benefits from the ability to offer expanded options for travelers, including a wide array of products and ancillary services.
Jeff Lobl, managing director, distribution strategy and agency sales programs for Delta, said the renewed partnership “underscores our dedication to embracing innovative distribution strategies that directly benefit our customers.”
Kamal Singhee, senior vice president, airlines, North America at Amadeus, said the agreement “further strengthens our position at the forefront of growing NDC adoption.”
The Amadeus Travel Platform will continue to make Delta’s content available across multiple channels, including Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Web Services, and Cytric Easy. This ensures travel sellers and buyers around the world can easily shop, book and service the airline’s full range of products and services, according to the announcement.
