Air France Opens New Lounge at LAX

Air France has opened a new lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, in the Tom Bradley terminal. Close to the boarding gates for the airline’s flights, the lounge is dedicated to Air France’s La Première, Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, and is also open to eligible customers of KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the lounge has a surface area of nearly 12,000 square feet and seats 172 passengers.

At the heart of the lounge, a dining area showcases French cuisine. Reminiscent of the style of Parisian brasseries, according to an announcement, it features individual seating, a large communal table conducive to creating a convivial atmosphere and private alcoves. Evolving throughout the day, the menu features hot or cold options, savory or sweet dishes and vegetarian menus.

A bar offers a wide selection of French wines and champagnes, spirits and local beers, as well as cocktails and mocktails prepared by a bartender. There is plenty of comfortable bar seating and more private areas with comfortable booth seating and armchairs.

This new lounge features a spa treatment area by Clarins, which has been an Air France partner for nearly 20 years. The spa has two cabins, offering a choice of three free facial treatments: “anti-jetlag,” “instant detox” and “illuminating eye care.” These beauty rituals are designed to relax and relieve stress.

Customers traveling in the La Première cabin have a private area just for them, designed in the same way as the La Première suites available on board, Bathed in soft light and with a view of the runways, the section can seat 12 guests and has its own dining area. La Première customers can also choose a “de-stress” spa treatment designed exclusively for them.

Flying Blue Ultimate customers, the highest level of loyalty program passengers, also have access to an area reserved for them. This alcove features large armchairs to make customers feel at home, according to the announcement.

Out of sight, another area for all customers is dedicated to relaxation and rest, in a more subdued atmosphere. There’s also a work area with large ergonomic armchairs, and a closed-off cabin for making calls to ensure peace and quiet in the lounge.

The reception area is equipped with eligibility kiosks for easier access. There is also free WiFi and numerous electric and USB sockets near the seats. Shower cubicles are available throughout the day to freshen up.
