Accor announced the appointment of two executives as global brand presidents to, according to an announcement “fortify its brand equity and enhance its market position across its diverse and world-leading portfolio of brands.”
Benoît Racle was named global brand president-premium, overseeing the Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick, Angsana & Peppers brands. Jean-Yves Minet was appointed global brand president – midscale & economy (including Novotel, Mercure, TRIBE, Handwritten Collection, ibis, ibis Styles, ibis budget and greet).
Racle brings over two decades of experiences, having previously worked with Starwood and W. Minet has over 25 years of operational experience in brand building, according to the announcement. He had been with Estee Lauder, the beauty company, for many years.
Karelle Lamouche, chief commercial officer, premium midscale & economy brands at Accor, said that with Racle and Minet at the helm of the brands “we will enhance our position as a global hospitality leader and steer our strong and diverse portfolio of brands into their next chapter of growth and innovation, delivering exceptional experiences to our guests and enhancing business performance for our partners worldwide”
Accor’s premium, midscale and economy divisions represent 90% of the group’s hotels and resorts, encompassing more than 20 brands and over 5,000 hotels across 100+ countries.
