Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has named Allison Reid as chief development officer for the Americas region. She will be responsible for leading real estate development and management contracts across the brand. Previously, Reid served as senior vice president of North America development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, overseeing development and acquisition efforts for all 11 of its brands in North America, the Caribbean and French Polynesia. She had a role in launching three new brands, including Tribute Portfolio, a collection of independent hotels. Reid also spent six years at Interstate Hotels & Resorts in various finance and regional roles.

AccorHotels has named Mark Purcell as vice president, development, North America. He will be responsible for driving the company’s development in North America, based in New York. He previously led a regional development team for Starwood Hotels & Resorts as vice president, development. Purcell and his team secured management and franchise agreements on more than 100 hotel projects. He began his career with Interstate Hotels and Resorts in 1988 working at three different Marriott hotels. He joined the corporate office in 1994 where he held several positions of progressing responsibility including corporate financial analyst, director of business development and feasibility and vice president, acquisitions and development before joining Starwood in 2005.

Hoteles City Express has named Paul Smith Marquez as CFO. He will be responsible for financing of new properties, enforcement of investment policies to maximize financial returns, the optimization of accounting systems and expense controls, and the investor relations program management. The brand is a limited service hotel chain with 125 hotels under five brands in operation located in Mexico and South America.
