Delta Air Lines has named John Caldwell to be vice president – Seattle as Mike Medeiros transitions to his new role as chief operating officer at Aeromexico. Caldwell returns to Seattle, where he served as district sales manager for Northwest Airlines from 1995-1997.

Caldwell most recently served as president of Delta Vacations, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. Previously, Caldwell was the managing director – national and specialty sales at Delta. Caldwell began his airline career in 1985 with Northwest Airlines where he held a number of positions.

JetBlue has announced the promotion of Steve Priest to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Priest succeeds Jim Leddy, who served as interim chief financial officer since November.

Priest joined JetBlue in 2015 and most recently was responsible for strategic sourcing efforts and for fleet and engine strategy. Prior to JetBlue, Priest worked for British Airways from 1996 to 2015, where he served in a number of senior leadership roles.

sbe has welcomed Matt Balcik as general manager of Mondrian Doha and area managing director Middle East. Opening in Spring 2017, Mondrian Doha will be sbe's first Middle East property.

Prior to his current position, Balcik was vice president operations and brand development at Jumeirah Group, where he oversaw the openings of over two dozen new-build international hotels over 10 years. Previously, Balcik was general manager of W Istanbul.

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Patrick Blache to vice president of information technology. He previously served as corporate senior director of information technology for the Springfield, Missouri-based company.

Prior to joining JQH in 2015, Blache served as director of technical services for Catholic Health Initiatives in Denver. His career also includes work as a systems engineer for Acxiom Corporation in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dream Hotel Group has appointed Christian Glauser-Benz as the company’s vice president of development for Latin America and the Caribbean, responsible for developing the company’s four lifestyle hotel brands in those markets.

Prior to joining the company, Glauser-Benz held positions with Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was the VP for the US West Coast and Hawaii. He has also held positions with architectural firms such as Oppenheim, Frank Gehry, WATG and Callison.
